Chenille Digitizing — Varsity Texture, Done Right
Chenille digitizing from $1. Files built for chenille and chain-stitch machines — varsity letters, patches and logos with correct loop coverage and clean moss fill.
Chenille is the thick, fuzzy, raised texture you see on varsity letters and letterman patches. It runs on specialized chenille machines and it is digitized completely differently from flat embroidery — you are planning loop (moss) fill coverage and chain-stitch outlines, not satin and fill stitches. A file built for a standard embroidery machine will not run correctly on a chenille head.
The craft in chenille digitizing is coverage and direction. The moss fill has to be dense enough that no backing shows through the loops, the fill direction has to flow with the shape, and the chain-stitch outline has to frame the letter or design cleanly. On big varsity letters, getting the moss height and coverage consistent is what separates a premium patch from a cheap-looking one.
We digitize chenille for varsity letters and numbers, letterman patches, hats, and logos, with the moss fill and chain outlines planned for your machine and yarn. Tell us the machine and the yarn weight and we build the file to match.
Chenille work we digitize:
- Varsity and letterman letters and numbers
- Chenille patches and emblems
- Team logos and mascots in chenille
- Combined chenille and embroidery designs
- Moss (loop) fill with correct coverage and direction
- Chain-stitch outlines and detailing
Chenille problems we solve:
- Backing showing through thin or uneven moss coverage
- Fill direction that fights the shape of the letter
- Chain outlines that do not frame the design cleanly
- Files built for embroidery that fail on chenille machines
- Inconsistent loop height across large letters
